Terry Lee Berkompas, age 84, of Elkhorn, WI, passed away on Monday, May 26, 2025. He was born on August 8, 1940, the son of the late Alfred and Ruth (Wortelboer) Berkompas. He graduated from Delavan-Darien High School in 1958 and joined the Army. He was stationed in Frankfurt, Germany where he famously played in a band that Elvis himself watched. He worked as a Tool & Die maker for several years, then went into the trucking business with his beloved wife Linda. He retired from Melinda Rose Transportation & Engineering as a Trucking Owner & Operator.  Throughout his life, he was a talented singer, songwriter, guitarist and the creator of several bands including Terry & the Pirates, Comic Book Opera, Sugar Creek Convention and The Terry Lee & Lenny Show. He loved sunsets in California, traveling in his RV, tinkering on his computer, red wine, pontoon boat rides with his family on Lauderdale Lake, telling witty jokes, his 3-D printer, deep philosophical discussions and his dog Rosie.

Terry is survived by his children; Rhea Lynn Stewart, Terry Lee (Jennifer Lee) Berkompas Jr., Dustine Ley Walker, Juli Wilson, Tish (Paul) Connolly, Cole (Nadine) Bushey, Dona (David) Mann, Bret (Vicki) Bushey, grandchildren; Krista Cannon, Tahj Stewart, Troy Gladney Jr., Landon Walker, Cameron Walker, Stormy Walker, Bryce Wilson, Makenzy Wilson, Lea Connolly, Nate Connolly, Afton Isler, Dexter Mann, Karlee Ericksen, Braden Mann, Olivia Bushey, Briahna Bushey and Boden Bushey and several more beloved great grandchildren.

Terry is preceded in death by his wife; Melinda Berkompas, parents; Alfred and Ruth Berkompas, Son-in-law; Rod Wilson and Grandson; Justin Yoss.
