Thomas J. Erickson

Thomas John Erickson, 79, of Twin Lakes, passed away at home on, Thursday, July 23rd, 2026, while being cared for by his wife, Jane. Thomas was born in Rock Island, Illinois to his parents Herbert, and Esther (Lundgren) Erickson. Thomas married the love of his life, Jane (Hammond) Erickson on April 17th, 1971 in Bellwood, Illinois.

Above all else Thomas was a family man and a much-loved father and grandfather. Thomas graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Madison in 1969. After teaching middle school Science, he became a Rehabilitation Counselor, helping disabled adults find new skills and employment. An athlete, Thomas was voted captain of the University of Wisconsin, Madison track team his senior year. He enjoyed sailing with his wife, passing his love of water on to his children. He also enjoyed reading biographies of outstanding military leaders. Thomas was a man of faith raised by a family active in the Lutheran Church.

Thomas is survived by his wife Jane, their children; Mark Erickson, Brad (Naomi) Erickson, Kevin (Radha) Erickson, and Lissa Erickson. Thomas is also survived by his grandchildren: Samuel, Charlie, and Aanya.

Thomas is preceded in death by his parents.

A celebration of life for Thomas will be private and held in the future. Haase-Lockwood & Associates are honored to have served the Erickson family.
