Thomas C. Townsend, 65 of Elkhorn, WI, passed away on Friday, September 9, 2016 at his home in Elkhorn. He was born March 26, 1951 in Milwaukee, WI, the son of Clarence and Dorothy Townsend.  Tom served in the United States Air Force from 1969 to 1973.  He married Barbara Mauk on October 6, 1979 in Elkhart Lake, WI.  Tom worked for Tasch Automotive Group in Elkhorn for 28 years.  After retiring, he owned and operated Tom's Towing. He was a racing enthusiast and loved restoring cars.  Tom also enjoyed cooking, gardening, and watching the Green Bay Packers.

Tom is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Barbara, two sons; Evan and Eric Townsend, seven siblings; Jim (Kathy), Bob (Kathleen), Carol (Reg) Weide, Rick (Bonnie), Dave (Jayla), Dan (Mer) and Gary Townsend, many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial service 6:00PM on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Home, 730 N. Wisconsin St. Elkhorn, WI, with Rev. Dr. Scott McLeod officiating. Visitation 4:00 PM until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hope Now, 107 W.
