Tirzah Lou (Peck) Merath,76, longtime resident of East Troy, passed to eternal life on February 13, 2023 at home surrounded by her family.

Tirzah was born in Elkhorn, Wisconsin, to the late Horace and Lila Peck.  She was the youngest of 6.  She grew up in East Troy, Wisconsin and graduated from East Troy High School.  Tirzah married her husband, John, in East Troy, where they raised two children.  In addition to being a daughter, sister, wife, and mother, she worked as a waitress at Giles Restaurant in East Troy and retired after 25 plus years as a CNA with Walworth County Nursing Home (Lakeland Nursing Home).  Tirzah loved planning family parties and picnics.  She was an active planner for many of her ETHS Class Reunions.  She especially enjoyed lunches with her friends and former co-workers and loved spoiling her grandchildren.

She is survived by her loving, devoted husband of 58 years, John, daughter Kim (Mark) Kaschak, and son Mike Merath, grandchildren: Jessica (Matt) Plier, Ashley Merath, Rachel Kaschak, along with Clint, Coty (Abby) and Sam Walters, Great-grandchildren: Lucy and Nora Plier, and Addison, Cooper and Bennett Walters, her siblings: Claritta Abell, Helene Bomar and sister-in-law, Jane Peck.  Further survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces/nephews, other family members and friends, all who held a special place in her heart.

Welcoming her into eternity are her parents, Horace and Lila, siblings: Jeanette, Marjorie and Harvey, brothers-in-law: Owen, Wally, Jim, Marvin and Don, and many other family members and friends, but her good friend, Linda, probably pushed everyone aside so she could get to her first with arms wide open.

Visitation will be held 10:00AM to 12:00PM on Saturday, March 4, 2023 at Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Homes and Crematory, 730 N. Wisconsin St. Elkhorn, WI with a Celebration of Life Gathering to follow at Evergreen Golf Club, N6246 US-12 Elkhorn, WI.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the East Troy High School Alumni Scholarship Fund, PO Box 361 East Troy, WI 53120 or to St. Jude's Research Children's Hospital.
