Victor F. Bunton, age 93, of Elkhorn, WI, passed away on Monday, September 29, 2025. He was born on January 9, 1932, the son of the late William and Dorothy Dettman. During his early life, proudly served in the United States Air Force. He married the love of his life, Helen (Burns) Bunton on January 28, 1956, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Elkhorn, WI. They spent 63 wonderful years together prior to Helen's passing and created a beautiful family. Victor had a kind heart, who always put others before himself. He spent his time with Knights of Columbus, volunteering at the homeless shelter in Darien, giving back to the community and those in need and was always there if he was needed for anything. He loved his family and spending time with them. His family meant everything to him, and he would make sure they were taken care of before he took care of himself. The true definition of selfless service and kind soul. He will be deeply missed by his family.

Victor is survived by his children, John Bunton, Joe Bunton, Susy (Bob) McKendry, Mary McNulty, Mike (Stephanie) Bunton, Patricia (Kris Peterson) Bunton, Steve Bunton and Bill (Eileen) Bunton; sister, Kay (Bob) Neale, eight grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.

Victor is preceded in death by his wife, Helen; parents, William and Dorothy; son in law, Jim McNulty; sister, Carole Kleinschmidt and brother, Ronald Dettman.

A service will take place on Friday, October 10, 2025, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 107 W. Walworth St., Elkhorn, WI, 53121 at 1:00PM. A visitation will take place at the church from 11:30AM until the time of service. Luncheon will immediately follow the mass in the fellowship hall. Burial will take place at Mt. Olivet Cemetery with Military Honors, 820 W. Court St., Elkhorn, WI, 53121, immediately following the luncheon.
