Virginia A. Gnat, age 85, of Twin Lakes, WI died Monday morning February 15, 2016 at the Aurora Memorial Hospital of Burlington.

The former Virginia Antoinette DiNardi was born on September 23, 1930 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of the late Ralph and Ann Szot DiNardi.  On August 18, 1951 in Chicago, IL, Virginia was united in marriage to Lawrence Joseph Gnat, Sr.  They lived in Chicago until moving to Twin Lakes in 1992.

Virginia formerly worked as an office administrator for the Duro Metal Products in Chicago.  She was a member of St. John's Catholic Church in Twin Lakes.  Virginia was a member and President since 2001 of the Twin Lakes Senior Citizen's Club.  She organized all of their trips and activities.  She was a columnist for the Twin Lakes/Westosha Report column, "Young at Heart."  She also attended the Pell Lake Senior Meetings.  She enjoyed crafts, dancing, playing cards, BINGO and playing scrabble.

Virginia is survived by: 1 son-Lawrence J. "Larry" (Linda) Gnat of Twin Lakes, WI; 2 daughters-Cheryl (Charles) Nelson of Twin Lakes, WI and Jeralyn Gnat of Round Lake, IL; 6 grandchildren-Holly (Stuart) Schultz, Wendy (AJ) Hornik, Cammy (Adam) Whittaker, Charlie (Stephanie) Nelson, Cheri (Andy) Dohse and Christopher Nelson; 12 great grandchildren-Hunter, Gabrielle, Lillian, Annabelle, CJ, Larry, Amelia, Alexandria, Bella, Avery, Addison and Abigail; and two gr. grandchildren-Whitaker and Baby Dohse yet to be born; and 1 brother-John (Lynn) DiNardi of Pontiac, IL.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30AM Friday February 19, 2016 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church 701 N. Lake Ave., Twin Lakes.  Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery.  The Gnat Family will receive friends from 2:00PM until 8:00PM Thursday at the Haase-Lockwood & Assoc.
