Obituary

Walter (Bud) Johnson

Walter "Bud" Johnson, 70, of Elkhorn, Wisconsin, passed away on June 13, 2025.  He was born in Greenville, PA to the late Walter and Mary (Blood) Johnson.  Bud was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who lived a life of dedication, passion, and service.  He worked as a steamfitter for 50 years before retiring, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, craftsmanship, and integrity.

Beyond his career, Bud's greatest joy came from his family.  He was deeply committed to his wife, Heide, and their two children, Jordan (Sarah) Johnson and Dr. Emily Johnson, and his grandson, Gadsden.  He loved spending time with them, sharing his passions, and offering wisdom.

Bud had a deep love for the outdoors, and he cherished every moment spent fishing, hunting, and enjoying the beauty of nature. He also enjoyed tying flies, coaching basketball and wood working. He was an avid fan of both basketball and football.

A passionate learner of God's Word, Bud found joy in studying his bible and sharing his faith with others.  His mission in life was to make a difference in the lives of those around him.  He taught those who knew him about the importance of kindness, faith, and making every day count.  Bud's presence will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and all those who were touched by his kindness, wisdom, and unwavering commitment to others.

Bud was preceded in death by his parents Walter and Mary Johnson; sisters Marie (Fred) Miller and Roberta "Bobbi" (Erv) Wager.
