Warren R. Radtke passed away at his home on February 12, 2024 at the age of 83.  Warren was born in Milwaukee on July 16, 1940 to Oscar and Norma (Felkner) Radtke. He grew up in West Allis and Milwaukee's south side, graduating from Pulaski High School in 1958, where he created many lifelong friendships.  Warren devoted a 38-year career to the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Department, protecting and serving the residents of the county with integrity and honor. He was an accomplished chef, having learned his cooking skills during his time in the U.S. Army Reserve.

He had a natural curiosity that led him to be enthusiastic in everything he did. He undertook his many skills with total commitment and one hundred percent effort. He was a big fan of travel, Broadway musicals, classy cars, Neil Diamond, natty clothing, Golden Retrievers, Christmas Cardinals, and stories about the good old days in Milwaukee.  He was an accomplished downhill skier and a champion water skier. He relished his years at the River Bend Resort with his family.  Later in life, Warren adored his four grandchildren and took intense interest in their many accomplishments. He adopted social media as a way to keep in touch with his many friends and colleagues.

He was predeceased by his parents and by son Todd. He is survived by his son Christopher (Lori); grandchildren Nick, Alex, Katie and Nathan; great-granddaughter Penelope; brother Richard (Clare); and longtime special friend Dorothy Mitchell.

A celebration of Warren's life will be held at Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Home and Crematory 730 N. Wisconsin Street Elkhorn, WI on Saturday August 31, 2024 at 2:30PM.  Visitation will be held before the service beginning at 1:00PM.  An online guest registry can be found at www.haaselockwoodfhs.com.
