Wassili ("Wally") Jelschin age 70 of Pell Lake, WI died September 27, 2025. He was born in Stuttgart, Germany on June 9, 1955. He was the son of the late Dimitri and Zinaida Jelschin. Wassili served in the United States Marine Corps Reconnaissance and afterwards worked as a long-distance truck driver. Wally had a deep love for music and was often found playing his guitar. He enjoyed his travels, especially time spent in Hawaii, where he enjoyed SCUBA diving.  His friendly and gentle nature will be missed by friends, family, and neighbors.

He is survived by his sisters Jeanette (the late Robert) Salerno and Nita (the late Richard) Jensen. Further survived by his nieces and nephews: Jeanine (Matthew) Ashford, Michael (Claire) Jensen, Christine (Aaron) Kingery and Karen Salerno.

Wally was proud of his service in the military, representing and protecting this country. This makes his senseless cause of death an even greater loss for the family.
