Wayne R. Schuenke, 72, of Darien, WI, passed away on Tuesday August 1, 2023 at Mercy Hospital in Janesville, WI.  He was born May 21, 1951 in Elkhorn, WI, the son of the late Earl and Ruth (Huisheere) Schuenke.  Wayne graduated from Delavan Darien High School with the Class of 1969.  He was united in marriage to Kim L. Thusius on October 27, 1973 in Capron, IL.  Wayne worked as a machinist for Sta-Rite for 47 years in Delavan. He was an active member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Delavan, WI. Wayne was a loving and proud man, who will be deeply missed by his wife, children, and grandchildren.

Wayne is survived by his wife of almost 50 years, Kim, their three children: Justin (Christine) Schuenke, Amanda (Rick) Zur and Luke (Jody) Schuenke, and seven grandchildren: Aidan, Jacob, Aubrey, Zac, Mason, Sarah, and Anna.  He was preceded in death by his parents and two siblings: John and Earlene.

Funeral Service will be 11:00AM on Monday, August 7, 2023 at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 416 W. Geneva Street Delavan, WI, with Rev. Jonah Burakowski officiating.  Visitation will be from 9:00AM until service time Monday at the church.  Private Family Interment will be at Darien Cemetery.
