Yvonne W. Adsit, age 95, of Elkhorn, passed away at Lakeland Health Care Center on Friday, March 4, 2016. Yvonne was born on May 6, 1920, in Burlington, WI, the daughter of Charles and May Wightman.  She graduated from Burlington High School. Yvonne married (the love of her life) Kenneth Adsit on June 2, 1942, in Elkhorn, WI, and they made their farm in Elkhorn home until 1991 before relocating to Hancock, WI.  They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on June 2, 1992. Yvonne was a member of the Hancock Homemakers and the Order of the Eastern Star.  She was proud to be a volunteer at Tri-County Schools in Plainfield and dedicated many years working at the Leola Township election polls.

She loved to dance and sing, play cards, and play her favorite dice game "greedy".  She traveled with family on many vacations, with Jones Bus Tours in Elkhorn, and especially enjoyed her autumn trips (with her four daughters) to South Dakota for 20 years to see the Buffalo Roundup.  She enjoyed hunting deer and turkey and camping with her family.

Her greatest accomplishment was her children and family.  She was always present for every school concert and activity.  She was there to guide and counsel and lead by example.  She was very proud of her family and told them so often.  She was patient, gentle and kind and only wanted what was best for all her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She made this world a better place by loving unconditionally.

Yvonne is survived by her children: Cheryll (Ted) Jansen, Elkhorn, Michele (Jeff) Kilpin, Elkhorn, Sharman (Dennis) Toomey, Cary, IL, Brett (Sandy) Adsit, Wisconsin Rapids, and Dennise (Doug) Pierce, Whitewater. She is further survived by her grandchildren: Kristen (Tom) Allen, Brian (Peggi) Kilpin, Kellie (Dan Kennett) Marks, Kendra (Patrick) Lowe, Jared (Chris Nania) Pierce, Shannon (Jess) Pierce, Zachary (Brianne Sura) Pierce, Lacy (Johnny) Gomez, Chelsey (Carl) Bjorge, Kristin Pierce, Melissa (Scott) Kroetz, Luke (Kirsten) Adsit, Tyler (Katrina) Adsit, Lindsey Adsit, Christopher (Michaela Howard) Adsit and Jeremy Adsit.  Her great-grandchildren include: Paige and Brooke Allen, Karmin and Katrina Kilpin, Amanda Miller, Morgan Kennett, Brianna, Amberlyn and Gabriel Lowe, Leif Adsit, Kadin and Claira Adsit, Oliver Stanley, Julep Pierce, Landon and Katy Dallmann, Elijah Pierce.  She is survived by her sister, Audrey Luebke, and nieces: Kathy Maynard, Edie (John) Brogan and Cori (Tom) Brogan.  Yvonne is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Adsit, son, Keith Adsit, great-granddaughter, Audrey Kennett, brother-in-law, John Luebke, parents, Charles and May Wightman, and brother, Charles Wightman Jr.

A private memorial service will be held in Hancock, WI, at a later date.  Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Home of Elkhorn and Leikness Funeral Home of Wautoma are assisting the family.
