Ann (Darula) Venskus

Ann (Darula) Venskus, 104 of Elkhorn, passed away peacefully in her sleep at Lakeland Health Care Center in Elkhorn, Wi. on Friday August 6, 2021. She was born to Joseph and Anna Darula in 1917 in Kenosha, Wi. and lived most of her life there. She was an active member of St. John’s Lutheran Church (now Lakeside Lutheran Church) for many years.  Later in life, she moved to an apartment in Lake Geneva, WI and enjoyed living there for a couple years before becoming a resident at L.H.C.C. to be closer to family.

She was surpassed in death by her husband, Simon, who passed away in 1980. Also preceding her were her siblings Joseph (Beatrice), William (Molly) and Lydia Darula.  She is survived by her two daughters, Deborah (Arthur) Tillman of Elkhorn, WI. and Kathleen Reymundi of New London, CT. ; 3 grandchildren Nicholas (Erin), Stephanie and David (Katelyn) Tillman and 4 great-grandchildren; Rosemary, Lillian, Arthur and Ivy Tillman. 

A prayer service and celebration of her life will be held at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park chapel 4300 Green Bay Rd. Kenosha, Wi. on Saturday, September 25 at 11:00. Inurnment to follow.
