Anna Schenk Obituary

Anna Elizabeth Schenk

March 21, 1959 – May 6, 2022.  Our sister and best friend, Annie left this earth to walk in the sunshine without any more pain.  Annie loved road trips, especially visiting the Freedom Rocks in Iowa, creating craft projects, and most of all having a good laugh with her awesome friends.  Annie was an incredible baker and chef, a big Chicago Cubs fan and proud Maine West Warrior.

Preceded in death by parents Robert and Dorothy Schenk.  Survived by siblings John, Dorothy, Lydia, Bill (Jean), Roberta “Cubby” (Rob) Beilmann, and Joanie, nieces Rene, Sarah and Sandy and nephew Robert.  Also survived by especially close friends and sisters of her heart Cindy, Jill, Sherry and Maria.  Annie was honored to have been an “official” dog sitter to Willow, Yardley, Luna, Zucca, Rufus, Bella and Mozart.  She thanks John & Donna, Jill & Colleen, and Greg, Tammy & Amanda for putting your faith in her to watch over the pups!  They may have come home a little heavier than when they arrived, but they were also returned well-loved! Special thanks to Cindy and Jill for your support and help during her hospice stay, you made her comfort possible with your love.  Thank you to everyone at Mercy Janesville and Mercy Hospice who showed such compassion and took exceptionally good care of her during her illness.

Annie didn’t want a service and requested no memorials.  Rather she wanted everyone to celebrate her life by going out and having a great meal!  Her message: “Go ahead and have a good cry, then go get something to eat!”  A celebration of her life is being planned for this summer.  She was loved and cherished and will be greatly missed.  We love you Annie – we can’t wait until we can join you again and have some of your incredible cookies!

Today’s tears are tomorrow’s rainbows.  So dry your eyes and we’re going to see skies of blue.

Friends and family have shared their relationship to show their support.
