Audrey A. Thomson of Twin Lakes, WI, passed away Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at Brookdale Memory Care of Kenosha, WI.

She was born on June 26, 1937 in Bristol, WI, the daughter of the late John J. and Florence (Selby) Jones.  She graduated from Wilmot High School.  Audrey was united in marriage to Albert J. Poepping on August 25, 1956 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in New Munster, WI.   Together they were blessed with three children – Jim, Jo Anne and Janet.  In addition to raising her children, she was a career banker, beginning her career as a Bookkeeper at Silver Lake State Bank and retiring from the bank as the Vice President, Trust Department at First Bank Southeast in Kenosha, WI.

On October 18, 1975, she married James H. Thomson.  After retiring from the bank, she and Jim moved back to Twin Lakes, WI where she worked as Bookkeeper for the Ben Franklin Store and later ended her career working part-time at Richter’s Sentry store in the Courtesy Booth.  She had a passion for Customer Service and enjoyed working with neighbors and friends in her local community. She and Jim enjoyed traveling.  A highlight for her was a trip to her Grandfather’s home country of Wales.  Once there she took pride in finding the Jones farm where her family once lived.  She always enjoyed knitting and crocheting.  For years she crocheted new baby bonnets for the local Aurora Hospitals.  In retirement, she joined the local Red Hat Ladies Club to enjoy time with many of her life-long friends. Above all, she loved her family; nothing made her happier than spending time with her grandchildren.  Audrey will forever be remembered for her loving heart and beautiful smile.

Audrey is survived by her three children: Jim (Terry) Poepping of Greenville, SC, Jo Anne (Jeff Neises) Fasetti of Twin Lakes, WI and Phoenix, AZ, and Janet (Dale) Elfering of Bristol, WI; her four grandchildren:  Daniel (Jennie) Elfering, Erin (Nick Pajor) Poepping, Kelly (Garret) Lievens and Dustin Elfering and two Great Grandchildren: Noah and Charlie Elfering.  Further survived by her siblings, Richard (Suzette) Jones; Judy Sala; Joyce (Don) Baier and Colleen (Frank) Bear in addition to many nieces and nephews.  She was proceeded in death by her parents, husband, brother:  John J.
