Barbara Jane (Bolton) Kohn

Barbara Jane Kohn, age 83, of Salem, WI.  Beloved wife of the late Jerome Riley Kohn for 57 years, born into eternal life August 22, 2020, surrounded by her loving family.  Devoted Mother of Lawrence (Corrine), Jeroma (Douglas) Vicino, Joseph (Felicia), Martha (Karl) Hipchen, Elizabeth (John) Nikchevich, Peter (Janice), Aimee Kohn and Teresa (Mike) Lindberg.  Dedicated, supportive and forever-thoughtful Grandmother of 28 and Great Grandmother (GG) of 9.  Sister of Patricia (William) Scannell and the late Mary Louise (James) Bruenning.  Daughter to the late Lawrence and Mary Louise (Hottinger) Bolton.  Aunt Babs to many dear nieces and nephews. 

A loyal patron to her faith, Barbara was a parishioner of St. Gertrude and Holy Cross Catholic Churches.  She also enjoyed daily mass and her faith community at LaSalette Shrine.

Barbara graduated from St. Elizabeth’s Nursing School and was a Registered Nurse for 52 years until her retirement in 2010. 

Barbara enjoyed sunny, wind-free days at the lake and endless hours of knitting, reading, listening to music, gardening, ladies luncheons, and winter getaways to Dody’s Florida home.

From a little girl on the winding gravel road that led to “Trails End” and on to “The Big House”, Granny leaves behind a legacy of memories on the shores of Silver Lake.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, August 26, 2020, from 10:00am to 11:30am at the Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Home and Crematory, 620 Legion Drive, Twin Lakes, WI, 53181.  A funeral mass will follow at noon at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 30100 Wilmot Road, Wilmot, WI.

Online condolences may be left at Haaselockwoodfhs.com.  Due to COVID-19 regulations, we are allowing 50 people in the building at any given time.   Please adhere to social distancing guidelines while in the building, and masks will be required.   Please be mindful of time spent inside so all those celebrating Barbara’s life have a chance to do so with the family.
