Betty Rae (nee Brooks) Shultz

Betty Rae Shultz nee Brooks, age 96 of Crystal Lake, IL died March 14, 2024. She was born on December 9, 1927. The daughter of the late Ray Patchen and Leona Mignon (Renfro) West. On May 1, 1948, she was united in marriage to Jack Alan Brooks who preceded her in death. On Sept 12, 1981, she was united in marriage to Jack C. Shultz.

During her life she was a member of the Woodstock Garden Club. She enjoyed golfing and was past president of the Ladies 9 hole league in Hoffman Estates. Betty enjoyed gardening, doing crafts and knitting. She liked to go roller skating and entertain friends and family in her home.

Survived by her children Nancy (Terry) Carroll and Gary (Sue) Brooks. Stepmother of Deborah (Ray) Schmidt, Tom (Gloria) Shultz and Bob (Yoko) Shultz. Grandmother to Kelly (Jon) Rodgers, Kirby Longbrake, Mekenna (Dustin) Ellis, Ashley (Aaron) Kruchko, Paige (Jacob) Miller, Ryan Schmidt, Jack Shultz, Lindsey (Jordan) Goll, Tracy Schroeder, Mandy (Frank) Wayeshe and Emily (Reggie) Sculfield. She was preceded in death by her brother Donald (Barbara) West.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 am - 12:00 noon on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, with Time of Sharing at 12:00 noon at the Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Home, 620 Legion Drive, Twin Lakes, WI.
