Carol A. Paus, if this is being read it means I have gone home to be with those I have loved and cherished who have departed before me. I left this earth on June 18, 2021.
I was born Carol Ann Goldy to Herman and Anna (Malek) Goldy on December 12, 1945 in Chicago, IL. I attended schools in Chicago graduating from Kelvyn Park High School in 1963. On October 15, 1966 I was united in marriage to my best friend and eternal partner Joseph (Bud) Paus. On September 14, 2010 Bud preceded me in death to await my arrival.
In 1977 after spending many summers and winters in the Village of Twin Lakes, Bud and I permanently relocated there. The love of the community and people gave me reason to serve on the Twin Lakes Village Board and become the first female Village President in 1994. I also became the first female President of the Twin Lakes Sportsmen’s Club in the 1980’s.
After retiring as a Manufacturers Sales Represenative I worked at several establishments in Twin Lakes including Lake Mary Resort, Pink House, Dave’s Triangle and the Twin Lakes Country Club. I enjoyed meeting and greeting so many wonderful friends while working at each business. Besides unforgettable fishing trips with Bud I especially loved and played golf with a passion with the “guys”. Many of whom are also waiting for me in the hereafter to argue on how many strokes will be given before we tee off.
Left to remember me on this earth are a brother William (Cathy) Goldy and their children Victoria and Sandy along with their children. Also my beloved nephew Richard Freewalt and their children Keith and Eric, plus many other nieces and nephews. Also cherished are Rich Pease and Heather Miller whom are as close to me as if they were my children.
I was preceded in death by my loving husband Bud, parents Herman and Anna Goldy, and my beloved Mother and Father-in-law Clara and Joseph Paus. Also awaiting me will be the many fur children I have had throughout my life who will greet me at the Rainbow Bridge.
I have chosen a graveside service at Mound Prairie Cemetery in Twin Lakes, WI on Friday June 25, 2021 at 11:00AM. I wish to be remembered by laughter and stories of times that were shared with family and friends. Till we meet again, my love to all. Online condolences Haaselockwoodfhs.com. The Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Home of Twin Lakes, WI. is assisting the family.
