Charlene Janet (Wegner) Elofson

Charlene J. Elofson: 66, of Elkhorn, WI died Thursday October 29, 2020 at Aurora Burlington Memorial Hospital Burlington, WI.  She was born August 10, 1954 in Elkhorn, WI the daughter of the late Wesley V. and Rose J. (Zobach) Wegner.   Charlene was employed as a correctional officer with Walworth County Sheriff Department for over 25 years retiring in March 2020.  Charlene was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed by her family.  Charlene is survived by her two children: Paul Elofson of Elkhorn, WI and Heather (Andy) Kretschmer of Delavan, WI, two grandchildren: Hannah and Jacob Kretschmer.  Her sister: Shirley (Jim) Nelson of Waukesha, WI, one brother: Glenn (Sandy) Wegner of Lake Geneva, WI and two brothers-in-law: Steven Johnson of Plano, TX and Patrick Romenesko of Elkhorn, WI and her beloved cat Ria.  Charlene was preceded in death by two sisters: Christine Johnson and Linda Romenesko.  Private graveside service will be held at Hazel Ridge Cemetery Elkhorn, WI.  On-line guestbook is at www.haaselockwoodfhs.com.  Arrangements completed by Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Homes and Crematory.
