Dale will always hold a special place in everyone's heart that were blessed to know him. We loved your visits and even the times you came to "supervise" the packet stuffing for the WEMSA conference. You ran a tight ship! So long and rest peacefully, Dale. Until we meet again. We will all miss you very much!

To the best hare traction tester Gateway ever saw. It was an honor and a privilege to call you friend, coworker, and mentor. I shall miss you and think of you every time I go to a WEMSA conference, and every time I participate in an EMT basic practical exam whether it is for the state or just for my class. Your smile, humor and stories shall not soon be forgot, if ever. Cookies for you at 3 am gets told in every class to remind students that sometimes patients just want to talk. Between you and Grace there was nothing you could not teach or help with. So as you milk'em in the sky, watch over us and be sure I don't screw up on teaching hare traction especially!

We both will miss our WEMSA FRIEND. Every year we looked forward to
his smiling face with Grace especially as they visited the WEMSA Booth
upstairs. What a wonderful role model for future EMSERS. You are in our
hearts and prayers as you make your final journey.

Dear Grace, Char & Don & The Oven Boys, I send my Sympathy & Love to you all. I only met Dale a few times, but know he was a wonderful man, by knowing the people in his life who he touched & loved. I will always treasure the wood pieces I bought from Dale, and they will be passed on to my granddaughter Andrea.

My deepest sympathies to Grace and the Merrill family. Dale was one of my first EMT instructors and helped me get my start into EMS, which became my career leading to where I am now. I was fortunate to run into them just weeks after I became a Paramedic level here in the Northwoods and on first day that my service upgraded and was running at that level, believe it or not at a crash on Hwy 51. While treating the patient I looked up and Dale was there. (Just happened to be down the road from their house in Harshaw). Dale was a good man... always helping in his community, dedicated to twaching and helping others. I would not be where I am today had I not met and worked with Dale. Thank you Dale. Rest in Peace.

Aunt Grace, Charlene, Kim, Doug and families - I was so sad to hear about Uncle Dale. I have been thinking of all of you since my dad called to tell me. Prayers for all of you during this sad time. I still have the wood table and shelf in our house that he made for John and I when we were married almost 23 years ago! He will be missed. Love, Dawn

I am so sad at Dale's passing. Both Dale and Grace were a very important part of my work life...When I took over GTC's EMS program, I was pretty much at a loss. But, Dale and Grace really helped me out, as well as the many, many students that they influenced.. In the later years I would re-new our friendship at the many Kenosha County events. Dale was a true teacher and roll model in the Emergency Services. RIP Dale...I will miss our visits.

Patt of Dale's legacy will be the hundreds of students that both he and Grace taught EMS skills over the years, allowing those folks to go back into their communities and provide emergency medical care. Many of us had our first exposure to EMS from Dale & Grace. Care & concern for the patient was always a top priority. Dale is probably showing St. Peter the proper method to bandage the occipital ridge with kling right now. God Bless you, Dale. Rich "BO" Bosanko-Kenosha Fire Dept. Battalion Chief-Retired
