Obituary

Donald E. Riese, 81 of Elkhorn, WI, passed away on Sunday, May 7, 2023 at Agrace Hospice Center in Janesville, WI. He was born June 5, 1941 in Elkhorn, WI, the son of the late Basil and Grace (Davis) Riese.  Don graduated from Elkhorn High School with the Class of 1960.  He was united in marriage to Lenora Henderson on September 25, 1961 in Elkhorn, WI.  Don enjoyed woodworking throughout his life.

Don is survived by his daughter, Carrie (David) Schmidt, two grandchildren: Allyssa (Ryan) Shuda and Evan (Destiny Loux) Schmidt, two great-granddaughters: Sydney and MacKenzy Shuda, three siblings: Robert (Shirley) Riese, William (Donna) Riese, and Linda (John) Cory, and sister-in-law, Diane Riese.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Lenora Riese and brother, Terry Riese.

A Celebration of Don’s Life will be Sunday, June 25, 2023 from 12:00PM to 3:00PM a the American Legion Post 95, 111 S. Second St. Delavan, WI 53115.  Inurnment at Hickory Grove Cemetery in Spring Prairie, WI. Online guest book at www.haasleockwoodfhs.com. Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Homes and Crematory completed arrangements for the Riese Family.
