Eugene C. Vincent age 91 of Genoa City, WI, died Monday April 20, 2015 at the Centegra Northern Illinois Medical Center in McHenry, IL.
Eugene Curtis Vincent was born on April 16, 1924 at the family farm in the Town of Randall, WI to the late George E. and Leora M. Sheen Vincent. On September 3, 1960 in Rockford, IL, Eugene was united in marriage to Eleanore E. Wahlgren. She preceded him in death on October 31, 2012. Eugene has been a lifetime resident of the Town of Randall.
Eugene farmed his entire life and owned and operated Vincent Strawberry Farm until 1988. He was a member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Genoa City. His hobby was tending to his many acres of strawberries.
Eugene is survived by: His stepson-John (Turid) Addams of Rockford, IL; 3 grandchildren-Andrea (Ben) Daugherty, Brett Addams and Amanda Jane Addams; 1 great grandson-Aksel Daugherty; a niece Kathie Nelson and a nephew-Randy Vincent.
He was preceded in death by a brother and sister in law -John (Iris) Vincent, niece Patricia Davis and a nephew-George Vincent.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM Saturday April 25, 2015 at the First Congregational United Church of Christ 624 Park St. Genoa City, WI. Interment will be in Mound Prairie Cemetery in Twin Lakes. The family will receive friends from 10:00AM Saturday until the time of services at the Church.
