Gilbert Allan Greene

Gilbert A. Greene, age 87, of Elkhorn, WI, passed away on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at his home in Elkhorn.  He was born October 2, 1930 in Milwaukee, WI, the son of the late Gilbert and Eleanor (Krohn) Greene.  Gil married Jean M. Chrast on February 5, 1955 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Elkhorn, WI.  He was a veteran who served in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict from 1950-1954.  Gilbert enjoyed golfing, restoring cars, and working on outdoor projects.

Gilbert is survived by Jean his loving wife of 63 years, two children, Linda (Mark) Nilles and Daniel (Susan) Greene, a brother Clyde Greene, four grandchildren: Jason  Billings, Michael (Erika) Billings, Jacob Greene and Hayley Greene, as well as three great-grandchildren; Anna, Jaxson and Alexis Billings. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Beverly and his brother, Bill.

Funeral service will be 11:00AM on Monday, May 7, 2018 at Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Home and Crematory, 730 N Wisconsin St. Elkhorn.  Visitation will be 10:00AM until service time on Monday at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made in Gilbert’s name to Time is Now to Help, P.O.
