Glenn Richard Wishnew Sr.

Glenn R. Wishnew Sr. age 80 of Twin Lakes, WI. passed away June 18, 2021. He was born in Chicago, IL on August 9, 1940. The son of the late Thomas and Florence (Meadows) Wishnew. On Sept 9, 1961 in Chicago, IL he was united in marriage to Erna Unzner.  

During his life he enjoyed old cars and working in the yard.  He was also an avid sports fan whether it be the Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bears, or the Chicago Blackhawks, and most recently, the Alabama Crimson Tide. He also had a special connection to Libby, his beloved dog who followed him everywhere.  His greatest happiness came from being with his family and making everyone laugh. 

He is survived by his beloved wife of nearly 60 years Erna, dear father of Dawn (Tim) Oswald, Glenn (Kathy) Wishnew Jr., and Jeffrey (Mary) Wishnew.  Loving Grandfather to Melissa (Joshua) Walton, Nathan Oswald, Bethany (Isaac) Wirtz, Melanie (Alex) Clarke, Katie Wishnew, Glenn Wishnew III, Hannah Wishnew and Natalie Wishnew. Loving Great Grandfather to Abel, Jael, Michael Wirtz, Savannah Walton and Samuel Clarke. 

Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday June 22, 2021 at 12:00PM at Hope Lutheran Church 876 Lance Dr., Twin Lakes, WI.  Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of services at the church.  Memorials in his name may be made to Hope Lutheran Church.  Online condolences Haaselockwoodfhs.com.  The Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Home and Crematory of Twin Lakes, WI. is assisting the family.
