James "Jim" P. Winters Jr.

James (Jim) Paul Winters Jr., 54, of Elkhorn, was devastatingly taken from the world unexpectedly and much too soon. On the afternoon of January 21st, 2023 Jim passed away due to a major coronary event

with his loving wife by his side.

James was born in 1968 in Waukegan, Illinois to James Sr. (Frog) and Susan Winters. He married his soulmate, Deborah, on July 20th, 1991 at Lake Como Community Church. After graduating high school, Jim started working for Stellana US Inc. in Lake Geneva and remained a dedicated employee for 22 years before becoming a maintenance technician at Ardagh Group in Burlington for the past 13 years. His favorite pastimes were camping, fishing, hunting, and watching the Packers with his wife, son (Gordon), grandson (Larry), and many close friends. 

Jim was preceded in death by his grandparents and father. He will be forever missed by his beloved wife Deborah, his mother, Susan Winters Bell, stepfather, Joe Bell, sister, Sharon Zilly, friends and family, along with his children and his grandchildren whom he cherished deeply. Jim will live in our memories as the stoic, gentle giant who worked hard, loved fully, and protected fiercely.

Services will be held at Haase-Lockwood and Associates Funeral Homes and Crematory, 730 N. Wisconsin St. Elkhorn, WI on Saturday, January 28, 2023.
