Joanna Plaza Obituary
Joanna “Babcia” Plaza age 84 of Pell Lake, WI died November 15, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Poland on March 20, 1939. The daughter of the late Jozepf and Weroniki (Mokrsko) Gaicka. On April 26, 1958, in Chicago, IL she was united in marriage to Julian Plaza who preceded her in death on May 2, 2007.
During her life Joanna enjoyed going to the movies with her family, watching her soap operas, crocheting, and gardening. Her greatest happiness came from spending time with her family.
Survived by three daughters: Rosemary (Chuck) Anderson, Theresa (Mike) Remakel and Karen Kennedy. Loving “Babcia” to Henry Burdeaux, Jennifer (Bo) Navarro, Sarah Anderson, Rachel (Alex) Johnson and Donald Kennedy. Great Grandmother to Lilly and Julian Navarro, Ben Johnson. She was preceded in death by her daughter Helen Plaza.
Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday November 21, 2023, at 11:00AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church 10519 N. Hwy 12 Richmond, IL. Burial will follow at Bloomfield Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday November 21, 2023, from 9:00AM until 10:30AM at the Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Home 113 Freeman St. Genoa City, WI. The Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Home of Genoa City, WI is honored to serve the Plaza family.
