John P. Schuchardt

John P. Schuchardt, 85, of Elkhorn, WI, passed away on his 85th birthday, Thursday, March 16, 2023, at Holton Manor in Elkhorn, WI.  He was born March 16, 1938, in Sheboygan, WI, the son of the late Lester C. and Edna E. (Goodnough) Schuchardt.  John was raised on the Schuchardt Dairy Farm in Sheboygan, WI.  He was united in marriage to Diane L. Carlson in 2001 at their home in Elkhorn, WI. John had a huge heart and kept in touch with his friends via his annual homemade Christmas card.  Until recently, John was an active member of the Vagabond Ski Club in Milwaukee. He also was a passionate collector of rare and unusual American antiques.  He loved wildlife and watching the birds, deer, rabbits and turkeys roam his farmette.  John was known by his friends and family to not only be a gentleman but also a gentle man.

John is survived by his wife, Diane Schuchardt, three siblings: Mary Rasmussen, Janice Bienemann, and Leon Schuchardt, and many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Kenneth Schuchardt.

Funeral Service will be 11:00AM on Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Homes and Crematory, 730 N. Wisconsin St. Elkhorn, WI.  Visitation will be 10:00AM until service time Tuesday at the funeral home.  Interment will be 11:00AM on Wednesday, March 22, 2022 at Calvary Cemetery, 902 North Ave. Sheboygan, WI 53083.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed in John’s name to Lakeland Animal Shelter, P.O.
