Lillian “Lil” A. Rudolf, 80, of Elkhorn, WI passed away on Tuesday October 31st, 2023, at Fort Healthcare in Fort Atkinson, WI. She was born March 18th, 1943, in Milwaukee, WI, the daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Danes) Makkos. Lil was united in marriage to Joseph “Jay” Rudolf on January 29, 1972, in Cudahy, WI. In 1979, the couple moved to Elkhorn, WI with their three sons.
Lil was an avid member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Elkhorn. You could find Lil involved in the church in many ways including being a lector and communion steward. She especially loved being a member of the church choir. Recently, she was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Whitewater. Lil was never one to say no, always going above and beyond with donations and volunteering.
Lil enjoyed many things during her life. She was an avid sports lover, playing softball during her younger years and bowling, even joining a bowling league with her husband Jay. There was seldom a Milwaukee Brewer or Green Bay Packer game that she missed! What Lil enjoyed the most was her family. Watching her grandchildren in sports and other activities and spending time together made some of the best memories. Lil was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.
Lillian is survived by three children, Joe (Heather) Rudolf of Elkhorn, WI, Chris (Lori) Rudolf of Elkhorn, WI, and Dirk (Cathryn) Rudolf of Temecula, CA; 8 grandchildren, Morgan, Laine, Lucy, Matthew, Jay, Steven, Evelynn, and Luke, siblings; Jim (Helen) Makkos, Judy Brown, Dennis (Joyce) Makkos, Gary Hosking, and James (Patti) Hosking. She was preceded in death by her parents, loving husband of 37 years, Jay, sister, Joan Raguse, brother-in-law, Charles Brown and sister-in-law, Barb Hosking.
