Maurine H. Millies

Maurine Helen Millies, age 96, of Burlington, WI, died April 11, 2022, at Holton Manor in Elkhorn, WI. She was born in Alma, IL on August 18, 1925, the daughter of the late Asa and Myrtle (McWilliams) Egelston. On September 6, 1947 in Cicero, IL, she was united in marriage to Norman Millies, who preceded her in death on September 7, 1994.

In her youth, she participated in softball leagues, holding the position of pitcher. She graduated from Salem Community High School, in Salem, IL with honors as Salutatorian. She was a dedicated parent and grandparent, who participated in Girl Scouts, Garden Club, PTA and acted as a Room Mother. She enjoyed dancing, bowling, doing crafts and was an avid reader. She was a devout member of the Calvary Congregational United Church of Christ in Twin Lakes, WI, and later the Kinmundy United Methodist Church in Kinmundy, IL.

She is survived by her daughter Linda (Wayne) Gudaitis of Twin Lakes, WI, and her granddaughter, Kelly Gudaitis of Racine, WI. She is further survived by numerous beloved family members and friends.

A private graveside service will be held on Friday, April 15, 2022, at Mound Prairie Cemetery in Twin Lakes, WI.
