Mozelle (Hicks) Weaver, age 95, of Twin Lakes, WI, died on Wednesday, July 28, 2021. Daughter of the late David B. and Ruby (McGuire) Hicks, Mozelle was born on March 23, 1926, in East Saint Louis, IL. One of ten children, Mozelle grew up with three sisters and six brothers. During her life, she was a coil winder and finisher at Williams Electronics factory, where she worked for over 30 years before retiring to help care for her first grandchildren. On July 17, 1971, in Waukegan, IL, Mozelle was united in marriage with Harry H. Weaver, who later preceded her in death in 1984. Mozelle was a strong woman who was never idle, worked hard for everything she had, and was always there when you needed her. Very self-sufficient and strong-willed, she could do and fix just about anything. She enjoyed doing her own yard work, loved her animals, and was known for her quilting—everyone in the family had a quilt from Mozelle, including her dog. Mozelle’s independent spirit and deep love for her grandchildren will be remembered.
Mozelle is survived by her only daughter, Brenda (Jeffery) Fain; grandchildren Tracey Swanson and Dion Fain; great-grandchildren, Nicholas (Christina) Fain, Stephanie Fain, Ashley Fain, Kaitlyn (Hunter) Fales, Dylan Fain, Karan Fain, Cydney Swanson, and Camryn Swanson; and her great-great-grandchildren, Grayson and Emerson Fain, Charlie Wydock, Aubrey and Austin Skym, Lillian and Ava Fales, and great-great-grandson Fales on the way. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Weaver; and her grandson, Jeffery Fain.
In keeping with Mozelle’s wishes, no services will be held. Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Home and Crematory is assisting her family.
