Nancy P. Rawlins

Nancy P. Rawlins, age 88, of Twin Lakes, WI, passed away Tuesday morning, July 24, 2018 at Paradise Park Assisted Living and Memory Care in Fox Lake, IL.

The former Nancy Phyllis Rasmussen was born on March 1, 1930 in the home of her parents, the late Frank and Alma M. Mork Rasmussen in the Town of Randall, WI.  Nancy graduated from Richmond High School in May of 1947.  She then attended Iowa State University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science Degree in 1951.

On May 11, 1951 in the Community Church of Richmond, Nancy was united in marriage to Don Eugene Rawlins.  They lived in San Diego, CA before settling in Twin Lakes, WI where they owned and operated Oriole Springs Orchard from 1960 until 1990.

Nancy was a member of the Community Church of Richmond, IL where she was Chairperson of the Board of Deacons, Chairperson of the Board of Christian Education, Editor of the newsletter for 10 years and a Sunday School Teacher.  She also delivered Meals on Wheels.

Nancy is survived by:  Her Husband, Don; 5 children, Bruce (Debbie) Rawlins of Normal, IL, Cathy (Dick) Warren of Paddock Lake, WI, David (Sue) Rawlins of Twin Lakes, WI, Scott (Barb) Rawlins of Twin Lakes, WI and Suzanne (Jim) Hughes of Twin Lakes, WI; 16 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents and a step brother Clifford.

The Rawlins Family will receive friends from 10:00AM until the time of Services at 11:00AM Saturday, July 28, 2018 at the Community Church, 5714 Broadway St. Richmond, IL.  Interment will be in Wilmot Cemetery.  Memorial Remembrances may be made in Nancy’s name to the Community Church of Richmond, 5714 Broadway St. Richmond, IL. 60071.  For online guestbook: haaselockwoodfhs.com.  The Haase-Lockwood & Assoc.
