Patrick Robert Taylor

Patrick R. Taylor, 70 of Elkhorn, WI, passed away on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at Javon Bae Hospital in Rockford, IL.  He was born June 19, 1951 in Santa Ana, CA, the son of Rex E. and Phyllis J (Carothers) Taylor.  Patrick served in the United States Coast Guard during the Vietnam War.  He was stationed in Thailand and Japan. Patrick was united in marriage to Robin Sabo on November 18, 1978 in Palo Alto, CA.  He was a member of the Chapel- Whitewater Campus.  Patrick was a pilot and a member of the EAA.  Patrick and Robin owned Viking Aircraft LLC and the design of the Cygnet SF2A Aircraft.  He also worked as senior manufacturing engineer for Vitesco Technologies in Delavan for 27 years.    Patrick loved travel, whether he was going to Aruba or taking the R.V.  He enjoyed boating on Delavan Lake.  Patrick was known for his Hawaiian shirts and his motto of “the brighter, the louder, the better.”  He was a loving and devoted husband, Dad and Papa, who will be deeply missed.

Patrick is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Robin Taylor of Elkhorn, WI, two children; Jaime Taylor of Greensboro, NC and Jason (Cynthia) Taylor of Delavan, WI, two grandchildren; Andrew and Inara, his father, Rex Taylor of CA, four siblings; Keith (Kenji) Taylor of CA, Kenneth Taylor of CA, Kirk (Cathy) Taylor of WA and Denise (Bryan) White of Mexico, many nieces, nephews and extended family members.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Phyllis and sister, Patrice Taylor.

Funeral Service will be 1:00PM on Thursday, January 13, 2022 at Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Homes and Crematory, 730 N. Wisconsin St. Elkhorn, WI, with Pastor Kevin Tranel officiating.  Visitation will be 11:00AM until service time Thursday at the funeral home.  Interment with Military Honors will follow services at Mt.
