Paul Richard Wolff, age 69, of Bloomfield, WI, died at home on Wednesday, July 21, 2021. Son of the late Edward and Lillian (Turner) Wolff, Paul was born on September 11, 1953, in New Orleans, LA. Paul was one of eight children, and his family moved to the Midwest when he was a child. He graduated from Grayslake High School where he played football. Paul worked for many years as a sheet metal polisher, most recently with Bio Fab Technologies, before retiring in 2019. A die-hard Chicago sports fan, Paul loved the Chicago Bears, but could be found rooting for the New Orleans Saints when the Bears weren’t playing. Paul was also a movie buff and a music lover, with his most prized possession being his old Jensen stereo. Positive and easy going, Paul was known as a “gentle giant” among friends and family. He always had a positive attitude, was soft-spoken, and didn’t complain—even when there was good reason to do so. Paul was a wonderful father and grandfather who loved spending quality time with his family.
Paul is survived by his only daughter, Kelly Wilburn (William Wilson); grandchildren, Kaiden, Savannah, and Jude Wilburn; siblings, Karen (John) Barry, Linda (Chuck) Sjoberg, Joni Bena, Patti Trosen, Michael (Sue) Wolff, Sue (Frank) Abderholden, and Mary (Bob) Vandermey; many nieces and nephews; longtime friends, Richard Wnek and Mike McCormick; and former wife, Donna Wolff.
Private services will be held by the family. Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Home and Crematory of Twin Lakes is assisting the family.
