Richard Jahns Obituary

Richard A. Jahns, age 61, of Randall, WI, died on Thursday, January 12, 2023, at Froedtert South Hospital of Pleasant Prairie, with his sister at his side. Son of the late William F. and Darlene F. (Zilske) Jahns, Rick was born on January 23, 1961 in Chicago, IL. His family moved to Powers Lake, WI when he was very young, and he has been a lifelong area resident ever since. Rick was a storyteller with a feisty personality. He enjoyed many hobbies including fishing (especially on Powers Lake), hunting, and cooking.

Rick is survived by his sister, Denise (Bob) Johnson of Ferryville, WI; nephews, Mike (Amanda) Johnson and Bill (Veronica Johnson); niece, Hannah (Pat) Smage; great-nieces, Lily, Ella, and Madelyn; and great-nephew, Alex. Rick was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Robert and James Jahns. Denise wishes to extend a heartfelt thank-you to Rick’s close friends, Dave and Mike, for their sincere support.

In keeping with Rick’s wishes, no funeral services will be held. Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Home and Crematory of Twin Lakes, WI is honored to assist the Jahns family.
