Robert (Bob) R. Coakley, 80, of Beloit, Wisconsin, died July 12, 2021, at Autumn Lake Health Care in Beloit.
He was born on Sept. 28, 1940, in Milwaukee, to the late Frank and Elizabeth (Cheplak) Coakley.
Bob worked as a tool and die maker in the auto industry for many years. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and Indy races and was an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers.
He lived in Wisconsin his entire life and loved spending time outdoors. Bob enjoyed open water fishing for walleye, trout and bass, ice fishing for Northern Pike and hunting at the deer shack in Melon. During his life he was a member of the National Rifle Association and Ducks Unlimited.
Bob always looked forward to spending the holidays with family and could be found in the kitchen preparing the meal. He also loved to travel on the train to Colorado to visit his daughter.
He is survived by his children, Megan (Mark) Ruenz, of Winfield, Illinois and Bobbi Plein, of Denver, Colorado; and grandchildren, Maddie, Matthew and Mason. He is also survived by his brother, James (Linda) Coakley, of Brookfield; niece, Kelly, and nephew, Kevin.
Bob was preceded in death by Gloria (Griggs) Coakley.
