Suzanne Marie Fox (Turquois) passed away on the morning of September 24 in an assisted living facility near her daughter’s home in Elkhorn WI.
Suzanne was born and raised in the France’s Loire Valley. She was the youngest child of Jeanne and Felix Turquois. She moved to the United States when she married an American soldier, William L Fox, and had two daughters, Amber and Tamara. They later divorced but remained friends. She received her Masters degree and taught high school and college French and Spanish for 25 years. When Suzanne retired, she spent her time split between West Chicago IL and Saumur France, her hometown where her French family remains.
Suzanne had a lot of energy and was very passionate and adventurous. She had traveled the world and was a talented artist (seamstress, painter and sculptor). Suzanne was a very social person and she loved to laugh and visit with her many friends. Even when she lost her ability to speak the last few years, she was always laughing and always busy doing things like making necklaces, needlepoint, shopping and watching documentaries.
She is survived by her two brothers, Roger Turquois and Marc Turquois and wife Renee Turquois, her daughters, Amber and Tamara Fox and a grandson, Justin Clausen.
There will be a private gathering for close friends later this Fall. Online guest book at www.haaselockwoodfhs.com.
