Theodore R. Borowski, age 91, of Burlington, WI, died on Wednesday, July 19, 2023, in the comfort of his home. Son of the late Theodore and Mildred (Rasmussen) Borowski, Ted was born on March 20, 1932, in Chicago, Illinois. He served in the United States Navy during the Korean War aboard his beloved ship, the USS Remey. He was married to his first wife, Carol S. Badgley, from 1952 until her death in 1987. Later in life, he married his second wife, Carol S. Brest. He was a member of the Park Ridge Presbyterian Church.
He enjoyed playing football, serving his country, the cottage, the Cubs and the Bears, a morning donut with HOT coffee, a perfectly spread peanut butter & jelly sandwich, a juicy bacon cheeseburger with burnt fries and topped off with a rum & coke. His true passion was the love of family and friends.
Ted is survived by his wife, Carol S. Borowski of Encino, CA; sons, Ken (Natalie) Borowski of Burlington, and Wayne (Maggie) Borowski of Twin Lakes; grandchildren, John Borowski, Steve (Jennifer) Borowski, Kiley (Gerald) Fadayomi, Blake Borowski, Carson (Molly) Borowski, Regan Borowski, Clayton Borowski, and Kimberly Borowski; as well as 10 great-grandchildren. No funeral services will be held at this time. A private military service will be held at a later date. Memorial donations in Ted’s honor can be made to the American Cancer Society, a Suicide Prevention charity of your choice, or the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
