Thomas M Wiley

On this New Year’s Eve with hope and happiness that we will have a blessed year I say goodbye to my lifelong partner of 52 years.  Thomas M. Wiley age 79 of Wheatland, WI. died December 31, 2021 at Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa, WI.  He was my lover, my champion, my provider and my friend.  Sometimes an asshole but always there to lend a helping hand. He was opinionated and never shield away from a good argument.  But when push came to shove, hard feelings aside, he was always ready to be there for anyone.  “Any job big or small, do it right or not at all” was something that he tried to instill in his children, grandchildren and friends. 

Sometimes his perfectionism was enough to drive us ALL to drink.  But he never expected anything from anyone that he wouldn’t do himself.  He was fiercely proud of his children and their accomplishments.  He encouraged his grandchildren to always have a strong work ethic and enjoy life.  The days ahead will be empty without that cheerful “good morning darling”. But he is in a far better place and pain free.  Your family loves you always. 

  He was born in Kansas City, Missouri on February 27, 1942.  The son of the late Wallace and Mary (Murry) Wiley.  On March 2, 1974 in Pembine, WI he was united in marriage to Maryanne Bekkela.  Thomas worked for 40 years as an airplane mechanic for United Airlines.  He served in the United States Army. 

Survived by his wife Maryanne. Father to Brian (Ashley) Wiley and Brigid Wiley.   Grandfather to Keenan, Devin, Seamus, and Eva May.  He was preceded in death by his daughter Maura Wiley and Sister Sharon Ambrose. 

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on February 26, 2022 from 1:00PM until 4:00PM at Hawks View Country Club 7377 Krueger Rd.  Lake Geneva, WI. The Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Home and Crematory of Twin Lakes, WI. is assisting the family.
