Obituary
Vernon R. Seiler, age 83, of Elkhorn, WI, passed away on Saturday, September 2, 2023. He was born on November 21, 1939 in Freeport, IL, the son of the late Howard and Dorothy (Higley) Seiler. Vernon and his wife, Nancy, were united in marriage in Janesville, WI on December 12, 1959. He proudly served his country with the United States Navy. Vernon enjoyed being a part of the Dulcimer class at the Senior Center in Janesville. He was an avid outdoorsman, and enjoyed hunting, fishing and target shooting with his buddies. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife; Nancy Seiler, two children; Russ and Curt (Melody) Seiler, sister; Sandra Goetz, brother; Rick Seiler, three grandchildren; Courtney (Keith), Christian and Maddie Seiler, and his great-grandchild; Parker.
He is preceded in death by his parents; Howard and Dorothy Seiler, one brother; Randy Golz and three sisters; Rita and Shelly Golz and Cathy Seiler.
A celebration of life gathering will take place on Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at the funeral home, 730 N. Wisconsin St. Elkhorn, WI, 53121 from 1:00PM- 3:00PM. A prayer service will immediately follow, with Military Honors. Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Homes and Crematory of Elkhorn, WI, is assisting the family.
