Walter Adam Emrich, age 77 of Genoa City, WI, died Saturday November 21st, 2020. Son of the late Walter T. and Elizabeth (Ferro) Emrich, Walter was born on July 9th, 1943 in Chicago, IL. Formerly of Johnsburg, IL, Walter spent 25 years living in Lake County, IL before moving to Burr Oak Manor of Genoa City in 2018. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Church in Johnsburg. During his life Walter served in the United States Army, worked maintenance for Westfield Mall, and enjoyed fishing, his motorcycle, and collecting coins and two-dollar bills.
Walter is survived by his loving children, Jennifer (Tim) Bates, Debi (Jeff) Klein, and Mark Emrich, as well as his beloved grandchildren, Travis and Connor Bates, Riley, Avery, and Sydney Klein, and Jaxson Emrich. Walter was preceded in death by his brother, Gary Emrich; his long-time significant other, Alice Thomas; the mother of his children, Dolores Emrich; and his faithful companion, Gizmo the shih-tzu.
