Wayne Bower Obituary

Wayne C. Bower of Twin Lakes, WI passed away at the age of 80 on March 18, 2020. He was born in Waukegan, IL on August 4, 1939 to the late Henry and Marie (Filstead) Bower. He is survived by his wife, Sharon Bower (Krause), whom he married on February 5, 1966 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Waukegan, IL.

Wayne was a proud veteran, having served in the United States Army. He worked with many lifelong friends as a delivery driver for Pepsi, and owned a gas station with his family outside of Great Lakes Naval Station. In his free time, Wayne enjoyed fishing, golfing, Nascar racing, swimming at the Y, getting a cup of coffee with friends in the morning, or a beer in the afternoon at any of the Twin Lakes taverns.

Along with his wife Sharon, Wayne is survived by his daughter Terra Bower-Mener, his grandson Curtis J. Mener, and son-in-law Kevin Mener, all of Twin Lakes, WI. He was preceded in death by his sister Marlene Graham.

Committal services with military honors will take place at 11:00 AM on September  16, 2020 at the Southern Wisconsin Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove, WI outdoor pavillion.
