Wesley was born on August 11, 1927 in the Town of Randall, WI, the son of the late Wesley C. and Margaret Koehn Redlin. On July 3, 1977 at Christ Lutheran Church in Paddock Lake, WI, he was united in marriage to Antoinette “Toni” Zoldowski. Wesley has been a lifelong resident of Kenosha County living in Twin Lakes until moving to Trevor in 1977.
Wesley served in the U.S. Navy as a ships cook from October 19, 1944 until discharge on June 12, 1946. He earned the Victory Medal and the Asiatic Pacific Area Ribbon with 1 star and the American Area Ribbon..
Wesley worked for Maxim Rebuilder’s in Burlington, WI, a janitor for Lakewood School District in Twin Lakes and as a bus mechanic for the Antioch Grade School. He was a former member of the Twin Lakes Vol. Fire Dept. and Rescue Squad. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Paddock Lake where he was a janitor, member of the Men’s Club and on the property and grounds committee. He was a former Little League coach and Boy Scout leader. He enjoyed woodworking and tinkering with lawn mower engines.
Wesley is survived by: His wife-Antoinette “Toni”; 9 children-Patricia (Ron) Plants of Burlington, WI, Marie Eder of Bristol, WI, Wes (Young) Redlin, Jr. of Washington, Mike Redlin of Silver Lake, WI, Jim Redlin of Florida, Thomas “T.R.” (Sheila) Redlin of Kenosha, WI, Donna (Tom) Brant of Paddock Lake, WI, and Tim Redlin of Kenosha, WI; 4 step children-Mark (Colleen) Stoike of Florida, Peter (Ginger) Stoike of Arkansas, Lisa (Mark) Merkling of Burlington, WI and Jennifer Rezek of Burlington, WI; many grandchildren and many great grandchildren and 1 brother-Raymond and (Doris Redlin of Kenosha, WI.
Wesley was preceded in death by 1 son-Steve and 3 brothers-William, Richard and Lawrence Redlin.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00AM Saturday, August 6, 2016 at Christ Lutheran Church 24929 75th St. (Hy 50) Paddock Lake, WI with Pastor Eric Silberschmidt The Redlin Family will receive friends from 10:00AM until the time of services at the Church.
