William (Bill) Roy Wood, age 78, of Twin Lakes, WI, passed away on Thursday evening, August 13, 2020 at his home.
Bill was born on April 10, 1942 in Chicago, IL, the son of the late Lawrence and Cecile (Schumacher) Wood. On April 18, 1964, he was united in marriage to Beverly Ann Burroughs at Mt. Greenwood Church in Chicago, IL. They lived in Oak Forest, IL before moving to Twin Lakes in 1976.
William worked as a printer/pressman for the R. R. Donnelly Co. in Chicago, and General Business Forms in Skokie, IL. He then worked as a maintenance mechanic for Centegra Health System in Woodstock, IL.
Bill was an avid Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers Fan. He enjoyed traveling, fishing, camping, yardwork and building/collecting model cars. He was known for his spectacular Christmas lights and received awards from the Twin Lakes Chamber of Commerce and Van Woods subdivision. He was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church in Twin Lakes.
He is survived by: His wife, Beverly; his daughters, Deborah (Michael) Treslo of Chicago, IL, Wendy (Ryan) Rau of Salem, WI and Michelle (Daniel) Rybolt of Mukwonago, WI; 5 grandchildren, Morgan, Sydney, Mac, Karlyn, Mason and a sister in law, Carol Piersma of Lockport, IL. He was preceded in death by a brother, Lawrence( Patricia).
Private Family Services will be held on Friday, August 21, 2020 at the Haase-Lockwood & Assoc. Funeral Home in Twin Lakes, WI with Pastor Melody Brink officiating. Interment will follow in Mound Prairie Cemetery. Memorial Remembrances in William’s name may be made to the Twin Lakes Rescue Squad, 236 E. Main St. Twin Lakes, WI 53181.
