Joanne G. Masi-Yunker, age 86, of Mt. Pleasant, WI, died Friday January 13, 2017 at the Ascension All Saints Hospital in Racine, WI.
The former Joanne Georgia Ferenzi was born on December 2, 1930 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of the late Samuel L. and Irene Jean Schiller Ferenzi. On November 15, 1975, Joanne was united in marriage to Ralph Yunker. He preceded her in death on December 24, 2000. She lived Caledonia, WI and Florida before moving to Mt. Pleasant.
Joanne formerly worked for Southern Colony in Union Grove and then for over 20 years for Continental Can in Burlington. She enjoyed playing cards, gardening and dancing.
Joanne is survived by: 1 daughter, Diane Masi of Burlington, WI; 1 son, David (Terri) Masi of Twin Lakes, WI; a stepdaughter, Carol Yunker of Kenosha, WI; 3 grandchildren, Shawn (Sarah) Sponenburg, Katherine (Carl) Shanor and Jeff Sponenburg; 4 great grandchildren, Peyton Shanor, Amelia Shanor, Genevieve Sponenburg and Piper Shanor.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a stepdaughter, Laurie Yunker.
