Katherine M. Edens; 82, of Second Ave. Elkhorn, WI died surrounded by her family Sunday September 25, 2016 at Agrace Hospice Care Center Janesville, WI. She was born May 9, 1934 in Racine, WI the daughter of the late Leonard and Lila (Schemel) Behrens. She was united in marriage to Delbert R. Edens at St. Patrick Catholic Church Elkhorn, WI on May 18, 1957. Katherine worked over the years at Sta-Rite and Micro-Precision. She enjoyed traveling, and volunteering at Sedge Meadows, and the Meals on Wheels program. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and a former member of the Elkhorn Garden Club. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be deeply missed by her husband of 59 years, Del, her two children; Russell (Julie) Edens of Atlantis, FL and Renee Yardley of Epping, ND, four grandchildren; Ryan Edens, Jacob and Kaitlin Friberg all of Elkhorn, WI and Jocelyn Mueller of Atlantis, FL, five siblings; Delores (DeForest) Brovold of Darien, WI, Mary Poeppel of Fort Atkinson, WI, Lois O’Neill of Oshkosh, WI, John (Virginia) Behrens of Darien, WI and William (Beverly) Behrens of Nobelsville, IN and by a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, and six siblings; Dorothy Behrens, Florence Green, Mildred Behrens, James Behrens, Norma Nacke and Margaret Bunnell. Funeral will be 10:00 AM Friday September 30, 2016 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church 107 W. Walworth St. Elkhorn, WI. Burial will be at St. Andrews Catholic Cemetery Delavan, WI.
