Lewis Robert ‘’Bob” Jarnigo, 81 years old of Salem, WI passed away Saturday, December 9, 2017 at his home. He was born September 15, 1936 in Antioch, IL the son of the late Lewis R. and Emma (nee Boundford) Jarnigo. Bob was a graduate of Antioch Community High School. He served in the U.S. Army from 1955-1958 serving two years in Germany. On August 27, 1960, he married Sandra Jean Meehan in Antioch, IL and she preceded him in death on March 31, 2005. Bob enjoyed vacationing with his wife, family and friends and going fishing up North with his sons and friends. He also enjoyed camping and visiting old civil war battle grounds. Bob retired in 1993 after 36 years at Abbott Laboratories where he was a Senior Pipefitter and Site Engineer.
Survivors include his three children Shari (Tim) Lambert of Paddock Lake, WI, Daniel (Deanna) of Silver Lake, WI and Jeffrey of Salem, WI; his sister Norma (Robert) Simon of Hurricane, UT; his grandchildren Kristina and Nichole Hughen, Chelsea (Clint) Germait and Meghan Jarnigo; and dear friend and companion Nancy Fuller of Pleasant Prairie, WI.
Memorial services will be held 11:00AM, Friday, January 5, 2018 at United Methodist Church, 848 Main Street, Antioch, IL 60002 with the Pastor Char Hoffman officiating. Interment will be private at Liberty Cemetery in Trevor, WI. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Bob’s memory. Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
