I remember working with Lois at Andre's when I was a kid (about ~13). I was a dishwasher and her a waitress. She was a wonderful person. She took care of me like I was her son. I remember her well.
I would eat lunch in her section. I gave her a $20 tip once. Back then, minimum wage was $3.35 an hour. She chanced me through the restaurant telling me to save my money that I gave her too much!

HI DONALD, I AM BILL AND SHIRLEY MEINKE'S DAUGHTER. I SAW YOUR MOM'S OBITUARY ON THE INTERNET. I CHECK THE FUNERAL HOME SITE REGULARLY SINCE I NOW LIVE IN GEORGIA AND IT KEEPS ME UP TO DATE. I AM SO SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS. I REMEMBER AUNT LOIS AS A WARM PERSONALITY AND SHE HAD THE MOST BEAUTIFUL LAUGH AND SMILE. AND I WORKED WITH HER AT HONEY BEAR FARM TOO. MAY GOD REST HER BEAUTIFUL SOUL! Don, Sue, and family, We are so sorry to hear of Lois' passing. We have fond memories of her and know that your memories will see you through the days ahead. We are in California and will be unable to attend her service. We will be giving a memorial in her name to Hope Lutheran Church.
