Robert F. Manyen, age 82, of Genoa City, WI (Powers Lake) died Wednesday evening December 23, 2015 at Holton Manor in Elkhorn, WI.
Robert Frank Manyen was born on August 1, 1933 in Milwaukee, WI, the son of the late Frank and Rose Whittington Manyen. Robert served proudly in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict.
On January 17, 1998 in Milwaukee, WI, Robert was united in marriage to Delores Prokopf-Bolda. He has lived in Powers Lake since 1995 moving there from Milwaukee, WI.
Robert worked as an overhead crane operator for the Pelton Steel Company in Milwaukee. He also worked as a bartender at several Milwaukee area restaurants. He also drove Greyhound bus. He was a member of the Grace Presbyterian Church in Milwaukee, WI. He was a member of the Twin Lakes Senior Citizen’s. He volunteered for various fundraisers for Public TV Channel 10/36 including the public auction.. He spent his life volunteering at various fund raisers including the MS bicycle ride, Candy Cane Lane in Milwaukee and many crop walks. He enjoyed gardening, playing cards andrepairing things.
Robert is survived by: his wife-Delores; 2 sons-Mark (Colleen) Manyen of Pine City, MN and Jeff (Terri) Stoflet of Spokane, WA; 2 stepsons-Phil (Deborah) Bolda of Tempe, AZ and Tim (Deborah) Bolda of Cordova, TN; 5 grandchildren-Carol Manyen, Casey Stoflet, PJ Stoflet, Tricia Bolda and Ricardo Bolda; 2 sisters-Mora Kirchner of Elm Grove, WI and Virginia Marquette of South Milwaukee, WI. Uncle of many nieces and nephews
Robert was preceded in death by 8 siblings-John, Richard, Leah, Clara, Donald, David, Harold and Alvin.
A Memorial Gathering will be held from 1:00PM until a Memorial Service at 2:00PM on Sunday, January 10, 2016 at the Haase-Lockwood & Assoc. Funeral Home and Crematory, 620 Legion Dr. Twin Lakes, WI. A second Memorial Visitation will be held from 1:00PM until Services at 2:00PM Saturday, January 16, 2016 at the Grace Presbyterian Church, 2931 S. Kinnickinnic Ave. Milwaukee, WI.
