William E Kasper

William E. Kasper age 81 of Twin Lakes, WI.  Passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Saturday May 9, 2015. He was born in Chicago, IL. On February 3, 1934, son of the late Adolf and Dorothy (Purmales) Kasper.  He moved to Northern WI and spent his young adult life working at his family’s business, Maple Grove Resort in Land O’Lakes.  He served his country in the Korean War in the Army from 1952-1956 as a bridge engineer.  He married the love of his life, Karen Weyrauch in 1958.  They have 4 children.  “Billy Bumps” worked for the Village of Twin Lakes for 26 years, retiring in 1996.  After retiring he moved to Florida for 7 years and then settled back in WI.  He was a member of the Sportsman’s Club and Twin-Runners Snowmobile club.  

Bill is survived by his wife, Karen, of 56 years, his 4 Children: Bob (Lynn) Kasper of Twin Lakes, WI.  Kathy (Don) Schemenauer of Twin Lakes, WI.  Bonnie (Rich) Prange of Twin Lakes, WI.  Kristi (Ray) Seitz of Elkhorn, WI.  10 Grandchildren: Tara (Nick), Kaitlyn, Ashley, Amy(Joe), Justin, Kody, Richie (Christine), Bret, Dylan and Jordan.  3 Great Grandchildren with another great grandchild expect4d in June.  Sister: Phyllis (Jim) Ludwig, Sister-in-laws, brothers-in-law and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held on Thursday May 14, 2015 at 11:00AM at the Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Home 620 Legion Dr.  Twin Lakes, WI.  Burial with Military Honors will be at Mound Prairie Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Wednesday May 13, 2015 from 4:00PM until 8:00PM at the Funeral Home.   The family would like to thank Davita Dialysis, Twin Lakes Rescue Squad, Season’s Hospice and the many caregivers Bill had.  Memorials may be made in Bill's name to either Twin Lakes Rescue Squad 236 E.
