George G. Reehoff, 88, of Twin Lakes, WI, died Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at his home. He was born May 24, 1932 to George and Geraldine Reehoff in Chicago, IL. George grew up, attended school, and graduated from Carl Schurz High School in Chicago, IL. He earned his degree in marketing from University of Illinois. He served in the United States Army Reserves and active duty in Korea from 1953 to 1955. George enjoyed a career as an insurance salesman. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion and VFW. He served the Twin Lakes post #544 as financial officer for 14 years. George was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who will be deeply missed by his family. He was a patriot who loved the United States of America. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and love for his dog, Puggy.
He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Gwen, his children, Christine (James) Meister of Madisonville, KY, Connie (Tom) Branson of Madisonville, KY, Bryan (Lynda) Reehoff of Lake Barrington, IL, Karen (Jim) Scudder of Lake Zurich, IL, Daniel (Aimee) Reehoff of Waukesha, WI. Gwen’s children, Keith Kleinmark, Rhonda Kleinmark. Sixteen grandchildren; Lauren (Adam) Reyes, Lindsey Meister, Jamie Meister (Luke Allison), Jon Meister, Joel (Claire) Meister, David (Ashley) Branson, Jack (Callie) Branson, Andra (Andrew) Allen, Josiah (Christine) Branson, Jackie (Mike) Beanland, Jason (Cara) Reehoff, Dean Reehoff, Amy Getty, Erica (Aaron) Sortman, Bryce Reehoff, Cole Reehoff and 23 great-grandchildren, Bailey, Lincoln, Breland, Brooklyn, Audrey, Kate, Reese, Jack, Holland, Ryland, Nora, David, Zala, Gwyneth, Edward, Louis, Abigail, Grant, Jude, Annabel, Willow, Charlie, Cloe. He was a dear brother-in-law to Pat & Jim Murphy and uncle of Karen, Michael, and David Murphy.
On Saturday, April 10, 2021, a visitation will be held at 10:00AM followed by a Celebration of George’s life at 11:00AM at the Twin Lakes American Legion #544, 989 Legion Drive, Twin Lakes, WI 53181. An open house at the Legion will follow. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the American Legion #544 of Twin Lakes. The Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Home and Crematory of Twin Lakes, WI is assisting the family.
