Glenn Leroy Borst

Glenn L. Borst, age 82 of Bloomfield, WI (Pell Lake) passed away Thursday January 7, 2016 at his home.

Glenn Leroy Borst was born on September 20, 1933 in Maiden Rock, WI, the son of the late Willard C. and Olive L. Horning Borst, Sr.  On May 21, 1960, at the old St. John’s Catholic Church in Twin Lakes, Glenn was united in marriage to Shirley Ann Kerkman.  Glenn has been a resident of Pell Lake most of his life.

He formerly worked for American Motors in Kenosha.  He then worked as a mechanic for Robinson’s Station in Genoa City and then for 20 years at Brellenthin Chevrolet in Lake Geneva.  He was a longtime member and former Fire Chief of the Bloomfield Fire Department and Rescue Squad.  Glenn enjoyed fishing, mowing the lawn and tinkering with motors.

Glenn is survived by: his wife-Shirley; 1 daughter-Annette Borst of Pell Lake, WI; 2 sons-Brian (Jackie) Borst of Lake Geneva, WI and Dennis Borst of Pell Lake, WI; 6 grandchildren-Brian, Jr., Erin, Josh, Nathan, Austin and Jacob Borst; 1 brother-Verne (Carolyn) Borst of Rhinelander, WI.

He was preceded in death by 1 sister-Mildred Borst; 4 brothers-John Borst, Arnold Borst, Howard Borst and Willard Borst, Jr.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM Monday January 11, 2016 at the Haase-Lockwood & Assoc. Funeral Home, 620 Legion Dr. Twin Lakes, WI.  Interment will be in Bloomfield Cemetery.  The Borst Family will receive friends from 9:00AM until the time of services at the Funeral Home.  Memorial remembrances may be made to Aurora at Home Hospice 103 N.
